- Share the models in the cloud by initiating collaboration on each model.
- Open "Building A" model.
- Define a new site for this building model.
- Click Manage tabProject Location panelLocation.
- In the Location Weather and Site dialog, click the Site tab.
- Duplicate the Internal site.
- Name the new site "Site A".
- Set "Site A" as current.
- Click OK to accept the changes and close the dialog.
- Link in the "Site" model.
- Click Insert tabLink panelLink Revit.
- In the Import/Link RVT dialog, select the "Site" model from the current project location in the cloud.
- Use the default positioning of "Auto - Center to Center".
- Click Open.
- Position the "Site" model to the correct place in the "Building A" model.
- In the Site Plan view, use the Align command align the references such as grids and levels on the site model to references of the building model.
- In any elevation view, use the Align command to align the site building pad to the base of the building model.
- Acquire the Shared Coordinate system from the "Site" model into the "Building A" model.
- Click Manage tabProject Location panelCoordinates dropdownAcquire Coordinates to launch the Acquire Coordinates pick editor.
- Select the "Site" model linked instance in the open view. When the site model is selected it will be pinned in place.
- Define a new site for this building model.
- Open "Building B" model.
- Define a new site for this building model.
- Click Manage tabProject Location panelLocation.
- In the Location Weather and Site dialog, click the Site tab.
- Duplicate the Internal site.
- Name the new site "Site B".
- Set "Site B" as current.
- Click OK to accept the changes and close the dialog.
- Link in the "Site" model.
- Click Insert tabLink panelLink Revit.
- In the Import/Link RVT dialog, select the "Site" model from the current project location in the cloud.
- Use the default positioning of "Auto - Center to Center".
- Click Open.
- Position the "Site" model to the correct place in the "Building B" model.

- Link in the "Site" model.

- Use the default positioning of "Auto - Center to Center".
- Click Open.
- Position the "Site" model to the correct place in the "Building C" model.
- In the Site Plan view, use the Align command align the references such as grids and levels on the site model to references of the building model.
- In any elevation view, use the Align command to align the site building pad to the base of the building model.
- Acquire the Shared Coordinate system from the "Site" model into the "Building C" model.
- Click Manage tabProject Location panelCoordinates dropdownAcquire Coordinates.
- In the Acquire Coordinates pick editor, select the "Site" model linked instance in the open view. When the site model is selected it will be pinned in place.
- Define a new site for this building model.
- With all building models open, copy each defined site location into each building model.
- In "Building A" model open Transfer Project Standards.
- Click Manage tabSettings panelTransfer Project Standards.
- In the Select Items to Copy dialog, for Copy from, select "Building B".
- Click Check None.
- Select Project Info.
- Click OK to initiate the transfer.
- In the Duplicate Types dialog, click New Only.
- Repeat the steps 1 through 6 to copy settings from the "Building C" model.
- In "Building B" model open Transfer Project Standards.
- Click Manage tabSettings panelTransfer Project Standards.
- In the Select Items to Copy dialog, for Copy from, select to "Building A".
- Click Check None.
- Select Project Info.
- Click OK to initiate the transfer.
- In the Duplicate Types dialog, click New Only.
- In "Building C" model open Transfer Project Standards.
- Click Manage tabSettings panelTransfer Project Standards.
- In the Select Items to Copy dialog, for Copy from, select "Building A".
- Click Check None.
- Select Project Info.
- Click OK to initiate the transfer.
- In the Duplicate Types dialog, click New Only.
- In "Building A" model open Transfer Project Standards.
- Verify all positions inside the "Site" model.
- Link in "Building A" using Shared Positioning.
- Click Insert tabLink panelLink Revit.
- In the Import/Link RVT dialog, select the "Building A" model from the current project location in the cloud.
- For Positioning, select "Auto - By Shared Coordinates".
- Click Open.
- In the Location Weather and Site dialog, select the site where you want to locate the model, in this case select "Site A". Click OK.
- Link in "Building B" using Shared Positioning.
- Click Insert tabLink panelLink Revit.
- In the Import/Link RVT dialog, select the "Building C" model from the current project location in the cloud.
- For Positioning, select "Auto - By Shared Coordinates".
- Click Open.
- In the Location Weather and Site dialog, select the site where you want to locate the model, in this case select "Site B". Click OK.
- Link in "Building C" using Shared Positioning.
- Click Insert tabLink panelLink Revit.
- In the Import/Link RVT dialog, select the "Building C" model from the current project location in the cloud.
- For Positioning, select "Auto - By Shared Coordinates".
- Click Open.
- In the Location Weather and Site dialog, select the site where you want to locate the model, in this case select "Site C". Click OK.
- Link in "Building A" using Shared Positioning.
Because each building model contains each of the site locations any building can appear on any of the sites.
- Remove the "Building B" and "Building C" linked models from the "Site" model.
- Click Manage tabManage Project panelManage Links.
- In the Manage Links dialog, select the "Building B" link.
- Click Remove.
- In the Unload Link message box, select OK to confirm the removal.
- Select the "Building C" link.
- Click Remove.
- In the Unload Link message box, select OK to confirm the removal.
- Select OK to dismiss the Manage Links dialog.
- Duplicate "Building A".
- In the Project Browser, expand the Revit Links node.
- Select the "Building A" linked model and drag and drop it anywhere into the active view.
- Select the new instance of "Building A".
- On the Properties palette click the button in the Shared Site value.
- In the Choose Site dialog, for Move Instance to, select "Site B". Click OK. This instance of "Building A" will now appear on "Site B".
- Repeat the previous steps for the "Site C".
